Topic: our rekindled "Space Race" - your thoughts about the different agencies vying to get new space projects going.

Primer: how does this affect us as Earth Relations?

Space race was mainly between USSR and USA between 1957-2007.

USSR had finished and became Russia. USA failed in space shuttle project. China had handled (not created) space flight knowledge. EU was never in space race. Epsilons were / are India, Japan.

After these moments:

USA has begun to liquidify NASA and leaving space race to private corporations. There are +s and –s of this process.

So how China has come as a state, Asgardia has come as a corporation.

Asgardia is 10-20 years behind of other corporations. It is not the first one, it will not be the last one.

If EU begins a space station project, she will be the luckiest one, because the one in empty place wins more in space race. And EU had been successful in macro-macro CERN and Airbus projects.

Other private corporations will be specialized. For example Japan corporations had preferred to go to asteroids and have some firsts in this field.

There is an interesting point on discussions about sending spacecraft to space:

EU is not a national organization and she does not really exist anymore after Brexit. But she still works on space topics.

So these will be jurisprudences and ruling cases for the new situations, even for Asgardia.

To me, Asgardia has 100% chance potentially, but she has made it 0% actually in 3 weeks after her declaration.

Ie Asgardia is a good example for negation.

Green Asgardia or Not?

There are some realities which self satisfying green slacktivists try to ignore them:

Global problem is not global warming, but it is a new ice age which may come only in the next 50 years like it had come many times before.

With the level of carbon dioxide level of 1900, plants and microorganisms may not be able to make photosynthesis in the future because of too decreased atmospheric carbon dioxide level. In the past, 90% of atmosphere was carbon dioxide and photosynthesis had begun in these conditions.

Carbon dioxide level of atmosphere in 2000 was only twice of 1900 level, not powers of ten.

Sun light energy may be sufficient in some fields, but not in all.

So needed thing must be done, even it is ungreen, even it is against human kind’s interests, even nuclear power is needed for space ships.

We are not humanists, but we are posthumanists. We try to leave the Earth / World, not to stay there. Otherwise there would not be a space station of Asgardia.

Please think and imagine realistic, not romantic, not idealistic.

Asgardia as a Simulation and a Reality

Some simulations are more real than real, like flight simulations. Asgardia has become so.

There is a dollar billionaire, there is a billion dollars, there is enuogh UN connections, there is public relations and positive image, there are 500,000 people as potential citizens, a new country-state possibility, a new future way.

20 virtual society, well educated people, internet data base, 50 nations, at least 3 languages, 900+ statements onto 10 main topics. It has been a huge brain storming.

Using ad absurdum at this point and this moment in the 21st day of the project:

If we do all things taken averages and envelope statements of all said in the official pages of Asgardia, we will create a diseaster and a dystopia, not an utopia or a new future.

As being very surprised, I have seen those G-7 countries’ qualified people know nothing about space flight history and Asgardia is a such kind of project. Even more surprising situation has been that nobody has read no material in internet about the subject after it has been declared. People have ideas without knowledge about Asgardia. This is an intellectually insulting situation.

So Asgardia Project has been not a preventing a diseaster simulation, but instead of it it has become one how to create a diseaster from nothing. It has been failed without a real beginning.

This has been critics.

This is auto-critics:

I don’t care it and I will do nothing about it. I will only watch and record it. I will use the negation knowledge in the future. So I will not try to prevent Asgardia’s falling down.

Asgardia has fallen down like a movie title.

But there is always another Asgardia like in ‘Unthinkable’ movie.

We go-between sciencefiction and futurology.

And I run amok in space-future as a blade runner.

Asgardia Project: The Beginning Moment

Text below explains how I have perceived Asgardia Project in the last 20 days:

Asgardia citizens will be double citizens. It means that Asgardia will be a virtual country at least at the beginning.

A land, a flag, an anthem, etc will be secondary and tertiary problems. The first problem is to be recognized by UN.

Asgardia citizens will not or will not be able to decide about Asgardia UN relations.

For example: US citizens don’t determine US’s UN policy, even they don’t never know it.

Whether Asgardia citizens give or don’t give money for the project, main expenditures will be made by Ashurbeyli at least in the beginning, for example for the first satellite which will be sent in 2017-2018.

Asgardia on Earth and Asgardia in space will be 2 different parts.

Only a few of Asgardian citizens will be able to go to this space station. (A space tourist pays 40 millions dollars for going to ISS once.)

Asgardia on Earth will not have an official religion. It is expected that everyone will respect to others’ religions.

Asgardia cabinet will be mostly coordinative, ie decision taker and executer, not decision maker or planner.

500,000 citizens at first may be decreased or increased. It remains uncertainty.

The core stuff is ready and working now for Asgardia.

So:

Most of things will be / is symbolic at least in the beginning.

Negative Existantialism in Space

I think, then I exist. (Descartes)

I exist, then I live.

This is a negative existantialist argumantation example.

Ma is a Japanese word meanings of separating, leaving, room, interval, decreasing self. It was created by Japanese modern dancers, butoh’ers.

This negative existantialism came from the shame of Japan’s defeat in WW2. They were proud of being Japans and they were ashamed of being Japans or only for defeat after WW2. This situtation is seen in animes, mangas, butohs, and Japanese movies.

Butoh dancers had left being Japan, living, even existing. They were dirty, ugly, poor, alone, and other negative things. They applied them voluntarily onto theirselves.

This was a psychological negative existantialist experience.

Asgardia is leaving (or Ma of) mother-planet Earth project, not integrating with it. Integration with the world will basically mean assimilation of Asgardians by human beings which Asgardians totally reject.

Human being will also settle onto the Moon and onto Mars in the 21st or 22nd Century. They will be more isolated from Earth than space stations near Earth, because they will not see Earth. So they will have more chance to negative existantialism than Asgardians.

This negative existantialism in space may both inductive or deductive.

Pope and Asgardia

All catholic states in the world give money to Vatican / Pope.

90 millions populated Germany gives 9 billions euros every year, ie 100 euros per person. Note: Germany has an atheist population of 3/10 ratio.

So may be they will prefer to give their taxes / money to Asgardia.

1 trillion dollars will had had been spent for around one thousand of astronauts / taikonauts / cosmonauts. It makes 1 billion dollar for each.

We accept that Pope and Asgardia has the same spiritual value level to give material value.

Then it is needed 10 millions of Asgardia citizens to pay for only 1 astronaut. Then every year will have been financed 1 astronaut more.

Non-citizens may voluntarily donate the same amount per year or for once.

Pope gives a ticket to Heaven, Asgardia will give a way to create a Heaven (Space Station).

Sciencefiction-Futurology Praxis of Asgardia

Asgardia was a sciencefiction story on September 10th, 2016 and was a futurology pdoject on September 15th.

Similar examples existed in history. Cape Canevarel’s place and Nautilius’ name came from Jules Verne’s novels into reality.

And also opposite way (time reversible maker) project existed: Holland Flood Control was a diseaster controlling simulation as a serious game. It will be used in the future.

There are many examples of space states in sciencefiction.

Asgardia became a moment by moment to have been created (and also still being created) project. So it may copy or use all examples.

Asgardia will go on in 2 pieces, one on Earth, on in space. Piece on Earth may use history data base, piece in space may use examples above.

Praxis of both pieces will be very interesting mind experiment even in the moment being created.
